Before NASA 1912-19581940 — Rogallo’s First Patent
On December 13, 1940, F. M. Rogallo filed for patent US 2,322,745, which will be granted on June 29, 1943.
“This invention relates to lateral control for aircraft, and has for an object to provide an improved means of laterally controlling an aircraft…”
This patent has nothing to do with flexible kites or hang gliding. There is no readily available information to show that the patent was ever utilised. (rpa-01)
